Article: Rats Laugh & Turtles Play!

Non-human animals really aren't that different than humans!

Jake Richardson, Care2,  reports that a study has found that rats have their own way of laughing. Although not surprising to animal lovers, this study could be the first one to actually measure pleasure in animals other than humans.

Play in animals has also been shown by researchers in several species. As in humans, "play has benefits such as learning skills, maintaining physical and mental fitness, and improving social relationships."
